On November 17, 2008, HP announced new record-breaking results on the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Small Model benchmark. These stellar results were achieved using the HP ProLiant BL465c G5 server as the database tier and three HP ProLiant BL685c server blades for the application tier.
11/08 HP ProLiant BL460c with ProLiant BL680c G5 earn world performance record on Siebel CRM Release 8.0 Benchmark Industry Applications running Microsoft Windows 2008 The HP ProLiant servers running Siebel maintain their world performance leadership with the HP ProLiant BL460c and BL680c G5 server blades holding the #1 result on Siebel CRM Release 8.0 Benchmark Industry Applications running Microsoft Windows with 12,000 users. This benchmark is the first and only Siebel CRM 8.0 benchmark running Microsoft Windows 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008. This result shows the fastest response time on a Microsoft Windows benchmark on a single, two-socket, 8-core HP ProLiant BL460c server. In addition, the ProLiant BL460c defeated the Sun SPARC Enterprise T5440, T5120, and T5220 servers and the IBM System x3850 with a faster response time of up to 38%! 11/08 HP ProLiant DL585 G5 with BL685c: #1 result on Oracle E-Business Suite benchmark On November 17, 2008, HP announced new record-breaking results on the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Medium Model benchmark. These stellar results were achieved using the HP ProLiant DL585 G5 server as the database tier and four HP ProLiant BL685c server blades for the application tier.
09/15 HP ProLiant BL680c G5 takes #1 server blade virtualization performance record on VMmark Benchmark The HP ProLiant BL680c is the highest performing 16-core server AND blade server on the VMmark benchmark with a VMmark score of 16.05@12 tiles. This result defeated the Dell PowerEdge M905 server blade by 12% with a one-tile advantage. 09/15 HP ProLiant DL580 G5 and BL680c G5 earn #1 and #2 four-processor performance in two-tier SAP® Sales and Distribution Standard Application Benchmark The HP ProLiant DL580 G5 took the #1 worldwide four-processor performance on the two-tier SAP® Sales and Distribution (SD) Standard Application Benchmark for the DL580 G5, while the #2 worldwide four-processor performance spot on the two-tier SAP SD Standard Application Benchmark was earned by the HP ProLiant BL680c G5. The result also showed 38% scaling from 4-processor 4-core to 4-processor 6-core. 09/15 HP ProLiant BL460c and DL380 G5 achieve two-processor world record performance results on two-tier SAP® Sales and Distribution Standard Application Benchmark on Windows The HP ProLiant BL460c and ProLiant DL380 G5 earned two-processor world record performance results on the two-tier SAP® Sales and Distribution (SD) Standard Application Benchmark on Windows. These results surpassed competitors such as Dell, IBM, and Fujitsu Siemens, among others, by up to 29.7% and 39.8% in performance results, respectively. In addition, the performance scalability for Quad-Core processors from generation to generation for the HP ProLiant servers was 36.7% better for the BL460c and there was a 40.2% increased performance for the ProLiant DL380 G5 when compared to its previous Quad-Core generations. This benchmark is the first and only Siebel CRM 8.0 benchmark running Oracle Enterprise Linux. The ProLiant BL460c defeated the IBM System x3850 by 42.8% more number of users than IBM! 09/08 HP ProLiant DL580 G5 6-core with BL685c: #1 result across all 4 metrics on Oracle E-Business Suite benchmark The HP ProLiant DL580 G5 with BL685c posted the #1 record in the industry across all benchmark metrics on the 3,000-user Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Medium Model Benchmark. The DL580 G5 showed excellent price/performance by beating all competitors at a fraction of the cost. 09/08 HP ProLiant DL580 G5 with BL685c: #1 Payroll Processing result on Oracle E-Business Suite benchmark The HP ProLiant DL580 G5 with BL685c posted the #1 record in the industry for Payroll per Hour Throughput on the 3,000-user Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Medium Model Benchmark. The DL580 G5 showed excellent price/performance by exceeding the IBM System p570 results in 3 out of 4 benchmark performance criteria at a fraction of the cost. 09/08 HP ProLiant BL460c achieves #1 performance spot on Siebel CRM Release 8.0 Benchmark Industry Applications running Microsoft, Oracle; HP ProLiant BL685c takes #2 position HP ProLiant leadership continues with the BL460c server blade holding the #1 Microsoft Windows result on Oracle’s Siebel CRM Release 8.0 Benchmark blades with 5,200 users. In addition, the #2 spot is also held by HP with the ProLiant HP BL685c server blade with 4,700 users. The ProLiant BL460c defeated the IBM System x3850 by 33% more number of users while the ProLiant BL685c had 20.5% more users than IBM! 08/08 HP first to run Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solution 9 Benchmark with HP Integrity rx6600 and ProLiant BL460c server blade showing excellent performance results The HP Integrity rx6600, used as the database server, and two HP ProLiant BL460c server blades, used as application and web servers, were utilized in an Oracle-conducted PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solution 9 Benchmark measuring the comparative online and batch performance of selected processes. Benchmark results showed, for 6,000 users, an average logon of 0.71 seconds, an average student load center of 0.91 seconds, an average page load of 0.83 seconds, and an average page save of 1.63 seconds. HP is the first vendor to run this benchmark. 06/08 HP ProLiant DL580 G5 with BL460c beats IBM POWER6/POWER5 result in online performance on Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Medium Model Benchmark In March 2008, HP submitted a new result for the HP ProLiant DL580 G5 and three ProLiant BL460c blade servers on the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Medium Model benchmark. The HP ProLiant servers configured with Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors achieved superior results as compared to the IBM System p570 POWER6 and POWER 5 results in each of the following key measurements:
