November 2007: EH853A, EH854A and EH926A HP StorageWorks Ultrium 1840 Tape Drive now supported on AlphaServer DS10, DS15, DS15A,
DS20E, DS25, ES40, ES45, ES47, ES80, GS80, GS160, GS320 and GS1280 with Tru64 UNIX and OpenVMS.

The supported options list includes all options that have been successfully
tested and qualified on the AlphaServer system. The list contains the option
part number, description, restrictions (RST) and operating system support.
The entries in the RST column have the following meanings:

YES
= restrictions exist and are available through the part number hot-link.

NO = restrictions do not exist.
The entries in the operating system columns have the following meanings:

YES
= Supported by the operating system; no minimum operating system version
required.

SPT
= Indicates support for Linux. Use hyperlink for version details

= Not currently supported by the operating system.

The supported options list is not intended to include complete ordering
information, configuration information, currently shipping revisions or
recommended choices. Refer to the HP Systems and
Options Catalog or QuickSpecs ordering menus for detailed ordering
information.

Please note that not all software patches are present in this directory as some
may be affected by business or export agreements that do not allow their
distribution at-large. Other patches listed in the Option Restrictions may have

Supports a maximum of 2 partitions
Graphics modules must be installed in master PCI box, PCI 0.
Maximum per system quantities specify qualified configurations on all GS-series products (GS80/160/320). The GS80 supports a maximum of 54 configurable PCI slots. Therefore, maximum adapter quantities offered on GS-series products may not be configurable in the GS80 model systems.
Only one graphics adapter of any type is supported per system or partition.
o HW rev K01 and K02 have different firmware.
o K01 is installed, working and can be LFU’ed the firmware has already been updated.
o 54-25074-02 must be used whenever a module is swapped in.
Keyboard and mouse must be on PCI bus 0.
Minimum SRM Console: v5.8-1.
- For UNIX:
- Minimum Operating System version for Tru64 Unix is v4.0G with ASE&TCR V1.6 or Unix V5.1 with TCR V5.1
- Tru64 UNIX 5.0, 5.0A and TruCluster Server 5.0A not supported.
- Supports a maximum of 64 total SCSI controllers per operating system instance (hardware partition). Including the following devices in this count: KZPBA-CA, KZPBA-CB, DS-KGPSA-CA FibreChannel, and two embedded Master PCI components per Master PCI Drawer.
- Two SCSI Controllers count as 1 device each for a total of 2 devices.
- v5.1:
- In an unpartitioned system QBB0 must contain both CPU and memory. In a partitioned system each soft QBB0 must contain both CPU and memory.
- For VMS:
- Minimum Operating System version for OpenVMS is v7.2-1H1 with TIMA kit VS721H1_UPDATE-V0300
- OpenVMS clusters assumed supported unless otherwise noted.
Reference the OpenVMS Cluster Software (SPD.78.14) for details regarding SCSI OpenVMS Cluster system support.
- For maximum ATM performance DAPCA-FA 622Mbit configurations should not exceed 4 ATM adapters per PCI drawer (2 per PCI hose). However, up to 8 adapters per PCI drawer are allowed for maximum connectivity.
- Supports a maximum of 26 total SCSI controllers per operating system instance, including the following devices in this count: KZPBA-CA, KZPBA-CB, and one embedded Master PCI component per Master PCI Drawer.
- Two SCSI Controllers count as 1 device each for a total of 2 devices.
